New York City’s 264th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade kicked off at 11 a.m. on 43rd Street. It’s estimated 2 million spectators and 150,000 marchers – including the mayor and governor of New York – line 5th Avenue for the event. Michael Benn, the longtime chairman of the Queens County St. Patrick’s Parade held in Rockaway Beach, is this year’s Grand Marshall.
