FailedĀ vice presidential nominee Tim Walz was left visibly stumped when asked who is in charge of the Democrats.
The Minnesota governor appeared to struggle when CNNās Kasie Hunt asked bluntly: āWho do you think the leader of the Democratic Party is right now?ā

Walz, 60, went silent and stared blankly ahead for several seconds before bumbling with a small laugh: āI think the voting public, right now, is what I would say.ā
āWeāre not going to have a charismatic leader ride in and save us from this,ā he conceded of his struggling party.
Later, Walz was asked if he believed his former running mate, Kamala Harris, could be a future leader.
āI certainly think she could be,ā he responded.
His awkward interview came just days after he signaled he would ācertainly considerā running for president in 2028 ā despite hisĀ crushing defeatĀ this past November.
āLook, I never had an ambition to be president or vice president. I was honored to be asked,ā heĀ told āthe New Yorker Radio Hourā on Sunday.Ā
āIf I feel I can serve, I will. And if nationally, people are like, āDude we tried you, and look how that worked out,ā Iām good with that.āĀ
āIf I think I could offer something ā¦ I would certainly consider that,ā he added.
