Three people were killed Friday in a stabbing, according to Fayetteville police.
According to Fayetteville police, three people were killed in a stabbing around 9 a.m. Friday morning in Two young people and an older woman were killed Friday morning in a stabbing at a Fayetteville home.
Around 9 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a stabbing at a home in the 200 block of Bellarthur Lane.
In aĀ press conference at 11:45 a.m., Kem Braden, Fayetteville’s chief of police, said a resident inside the home called 911 to report the stabbing.Ā
Three people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the victims were juveniles, Braden confirmed, and the other victim was an older woman. An adult male was taken into custody.
Police said all three victims and the suspect knew each other and lived in the home but could not confirm they were family members.
There is no threat to the community, police said.Ā
A house was blocked off with crime scene tape, and multiple authorities were at the scene.
The names of the victims are being withheld until family members are notified.
