This driver really went off the deep end.
A car was caught on wild video crashing through a fence and straight into a backyard pool on Long Island last week.
The scary scene occurred on East Chestnut Street in Central Islip on Thursday night, with the gray vehicle flying through the fence of a home and flipping over into resident Emely Bisono’s built-in pool, CBS reported.
The driver, with the help of others, quickly fled the area.
Bisono, who said her two kids and grandmother were home during the splash landing, caught the harrowing incident on home surveillance.
“I’m coming back home from work, and I found this,” Bisono told the outlet of the scene. “The first thing that I thought is, ‘Are my mom and my kids OK?’ They are, and then, ‘We will fix this.’ “
After the car flipped entirely over — leaving a wake of debris in the pool — it landed right side up again, with enough of the vehicle on the deck to prevent it from falling fully into the water.
The footage shows two other people in the area helping the driver out of the car’s passenger side — just before he brazenly goes to grab his jacket and phone and flees the scene.
“We had the impression that maybe they knew each other or they were maybe driving right behind him because he got in the car with them,” Bisono said, adding that the water-logged car left behind reeked of marijuana.
Although the car was properly registered, insured and not stolen, police are having difficulty finding the driver, according to CBS.
Bisono called the backyard devastation “unacceptable” and was furious at “the fact that he ran away,” especially since a car crashed through her neighbor’s fence last year as well.
“Unfortunately, we see this happen many times,” she said.
